![]() Margo grew up in Oshkosh, Wis., on the shore of Lake Winnebago, the largest inland lake in the U.S. and home to walleye, muskellunge, sturgeon, and lots of other fish. The lake freezes over in winter, to the delight of ice fishermen.
Margo's been a reporter and editor at newspapers ranging from the Spruce Grove Star in Edmonton, Alta., Canada, to the Los Angeles Times.
She was chair of the English Department at California University of Pennsylvania and is professor emerita. Margo's late husband, Michael Kraft, and pup, Ollie.
