Margo most recently has been freelancing for the Citrus County Chronicle in Crystal River, Fla. She has initiated a series, "Old Florida," in which she talks with people who remember what Florida was like before the tourist onslaught. Here's another sample. She also writes features about community events, groups, and interesting people.

During her years as an academic, Margo wrote many scholarly articles. Here's one about the layoffs of copy editors at newspapers that's not too dry:

Margo also has written and published creative nonfiction in literary magazines and has written 10 screenplays and half a dozen TV scripts. As a journalist, she published hundreds of articles.
